Call Blocking Options...
SELECTIVE LISTS: Enables you to establish lists of up to 31 telephone numbers for each of the following functions:
CALL ACCEPTANCE
When this service is activated, only the numbers in this list will ring through to your phone. Any callers not on this list will be politely turned away.
CALL REJECTION
When this service is activated, those callers on the list will be politely turned away. All other calls will go through as normal.
TELEMARKETER CALL SCREENING: Delivers a recording to "Unknown" or "Undeliverable" callers that "The number you have reached does not accept calls from telemarketers. If you are a telemarketer, please add this number to your "Do Not Call" list and hang up now. Otherwise, please press "1" or stay on the line."
HOW TO USE:
Do nothing. Only calls from callers who press "1" or hang on the line will ring your telephone. Telemarketers are required to hang up.
CALLER ID BLOCKING (per line): This capability keeps your telephone number from appearing on anyone’s Caller ID display.
- On a rotary dial phone, dial 1167. If you have a touch-tone phone, press *67, followed by the number you are calling.
- The Caller ID unit will display "Private" rather than your telephone number.
NOTE: Different manufacturers of Caller ID display units may use different terms to describe the call such as "Blocked", "P", etc.
ANONYMOUS CALLER REJECTION: Enables you to reject callers that have blocked their number from your Caller ID display. Your phone doesn’t even ring!
- On a rotary dial phone, dial 1177. If you have a touch-tone phone, press *77.
- You will hear a "beep-beep" tone to signal you that Anonymous Caller Rejection is active on your line.
HOW TO CANCEL IT:
- On a rotary dial phone, dial 1187. If you have a touch-tone phone, press *87.
- You will hear a "beep-beep" tone to signal you that Anonymous Caller Rejection is no longer active on your line.
NOTE: Numbers that show up as "Unavailable" on your Caller ID display will not be rejected by this feature. Only those that normally appear as "Private" or "Blocked" will be rejected.
