Local Student Wins WSTA Scholarship

Congratulations are in order for Lucas Fickbohm, a graduate of South Shore High School—Lucas is the recipient of a 2006 Wisconsin State Telecommunications Foundation scholarship, in the amount of $1,500. Chequamegon Communications submitted Lucas's name for the selection process, where he was one of nearly 200 applicants. A total of 29 students statewide were selected for the honor.

The Foundation is part of the Wisconsin State Telecommunications Association (WSTA), which represents the 83 telecom companies and cooperatives in Wisconsin.
