Cheqtel Techs like Troy Olson Get It Done for DSL Customers
“Every install is a bit different,” according
to Troy Olson, who has been a Chequamegon Installer/Repairman
for nearly a decade. One thing every DSL installation has in
common, though, is this: “When we leave, the customer is
surfing the Web.” And they’re not just surfing, they’re
zipping around on the Internet at new high speeds.
It all begins back at the Cheqtel central office, where the
dispatch team gets everything configured and Troy programs the
modem and rewires the customer’s line to enable DSL service.
Once he gets to the customer’s property, everything is
ready to go on our end. Troy’s first stop is at the Demark
box, where he upgrades the box if necessary and prepares the
line for DSL.
After that’s complete, it’s time to head inside.
Troy installs, authenticates and connects the router—he
makes sure that everything’s working properly and that
a fast path to the Internet has been established. “Lots
of people are choosing the wireless router,” he says, because
of the freedom of wireless Internet.
Everything from start to finish, is covered under the standard
installation. So go for DSL today!
