With
budgets shrinking and technology
demands on the rise, it can be hard to know how to respond with
students' best interests in mind. Often, it is the teachers who become
most bogged down in trying to implement, troubleshoot and repair
technology in the classroom while also trying to manage students, design
curricula and, most importantly, teach. There is no question that
technology in the classroom is here to stay. The question is how can
small rural schools prepare their students for a technological society,
when they lack the resources of larger, wealthier institutions?

The new system
installed by Cheqtel has greatly improved our communication and efficiency. Reliability, security and speed of information has
improved tenfold. The transition from MAC to PC has been
fairly smooth and the support from the Cheqtel staff has been
excellent.

We invite
your school to join the Unified
Education Network (UEN) an innovative, one-of-a-kind education
technology network, that offers hosted web-based services, on-line curricular software
for e-learning and
technical support services all in one, freeing your staff and teachers
to teach.
By joining the Unified Education Network, schools can afford their
students and teachers equal access to advanced levels of educational
content, advanced levels of technology, and services that no individual
school would have the budget to acquire or maintain on their own.
Additionally, your school can join forces with other schools to drive
down the cost of technical support and technology services such as the
array of hosted solutions provided through CheqWAY and to “unify” the
technology services that every school relies upon.
For years since the start of the
“Information Age” school districts have been actively implementing
technology within their buildings. Each and every school has engaged in
their technology aspirations and mostly on an individual basis. Almost
every school has treated technology with a go-it-alone approach, and
each school has had to “re-invent” technology implementations, purchase
the same equipment, same software, and same services.
You Don't Have to Go It Alone:
Not only can technology be expensive in and of itself, it also requires
attention to keep it running smoothly. Many schools struggle with trying
to balance technology needs with educational objectives. This can be
difficult.
When your school joins the UEN it is signing on to an advanced level of
technology support services, technology purchasing, maintenance and
management, cost sharing, cost reductions, advanced levels of
educational content and services. By joining the UEN and its unique
strategy for technology deployment in schools, your school will save
money by adopting the centralization and standardization scheme the UEN
uses. The UEN concept uses turn-key technology solutions that allow for
the off-site maintenance and management of your schools technology
infrastructure along with several hosted solutions. By taking on the
burden of deployment, programming and upkeep, the UEN allows educators
to be educators. This frees up time to focus on more relevant work,
which in turn frees up resources that that were previously spent on
trying to tackle technological issues in the classroom freeing your
teachers to teach.
